Default Plz help on "hooking" problem. (Cat K1)

My K1 will get "hook" very easily when low speed corner. Although it is predictable, but it is preventing me to exit corner at the right angle consistently.

My car also tends to flip at high speed corner easier then other buggy on the track.

Any input will be appreciated

Do you mean grip roll? As in the car grips so much it rolls over?

Post what setup you are currently running and what tyres you are using, we can start from there

I am using 27.5 AE oil with stock spring, and J concept goose Bump Tires.

also added the silver anti roll bar from and rear, and ride height at 23mm.

camber is 2 degree front and 3 degree at the rear. stock rear toe in, and eye measure front toe out (i guess 2-3 degrees)

It seems like the inner front wheel will not spin when the steering is more then half way to the end, and the rear end will just spin out and make it hard to exit corner at the desire angle.

here is a youtude video showing me (the green buggy with red wing)playing with my friend xb4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRNCZ4AwhTo

he seems much more planned to the ground.

I have never run on dirt/clay but toe out for the front seems odd. It would make it very twitchy and nervous I would expect. I always run 0 deg toe at the front I have heard of people running 1 deg toe in to calm steering down a bit.

Maybe lose the rollbars to increase traction and decrease the rear camber to make breakaway slower and more consistent.

edit - also try a harder oil in the front I usually use 30 rear and 40 front on a bumpy track.

I think it's to do with the rear suspension link, which on my cat sx2 the rear wheels go into positive camber when the suspension is compressed.

This helps it turn well on grippier surfaces, but I think on dirt, running a longer link will help prevent the positive camber if setup right, and make the rear end stay more planted when cornering.

Not sure if your K1 is doing the same thing...just a guess.
