Default tyres

a mate of mine is looking for some tyres for his B4, he isnt racing with them, just outside bashing.

what are the best ones (cheapest) with a decent tread pattern for doing this with ?

also, am i right in thinking that GRP make 1/10 buggy tyres ?

grp do do tyres for buggies.harder tyres will last longer but will have a tendency to lose traction when turning at higher speeds especially on concrete or when its damp/wet.schumacher do a road pattern tyre but dont not sure about their use on birt/grass etc.hope ive helped a little bit.thanks jez.

fr 2wd £6.49 r £7.49.something like racing-cars.com,or pm muzzy[schumacher rep]or you could ask if anyone has any part worn tyres and rims to sell.can pick rims up £1 a pair, tyres similar.many racers disguard tyres after couple of runs.one mans rejects are another mans runners.thanks jez.

For what it's worth I had some of the Schuey road tyres on my B4. They looked really sweet.

I took them off after less than 5 minutes which kinda gives away how impressed I was with 'em.

If your mate wants rubber that'll last and last and last try ebay for some Tamiya High Density Spike tyres, the ones they put on the DF-03, DB-01 and DT-02 chassis. They are crap for racing but seem perfectly OK for bashing (which is what Tamiya designed them for I guess). I've put B4 kit tyres on one of my Tamiya's so it should work the other way round too.

they've had a few runs at regionals, but fine for bashing around roads and fields, or even for racing on high grip tracks like stotfold.
can't do a pick as my main PC died and i don;t have the camera software on my laptop

they are mini spike. not sure how many sets off the top of my head, probably around 6-7 available, but more once i have sorted out my recent tyres from the F2's etc.

they are mainly 4wd front and rear, as 2wd front don't wear a great deal. If your mate is bashing then he will mainly need rears for the wheel spin!

Yup, thems 'um. The used Schueys are probably a better bet at that price though - just remember he'll need inserts on either sort of tyre.
