Default Brushless LST Conv'n

Hi guys

Ok, so they've been done before and the UK is not a "truck" friendly region of the world, but here I have my Losi LST which I have converted to brushless, on a budget.

I say budget, as, except for the Tekno RC cell tray, all the parts have been made by me. Even the cell straps were modified to a custom length (ok, they were re-stitched by the nearly wife)

Esc tray, motor mount, single speed hub and spacer, and cell tray riser were all cnc machined from 7062 (lifted from the scrap/offcut pallet )

The only bit that still requires attention really is the shell, it's the same one the truck wore when in nitro guise when I was contested the Maxbashing monster truck series back in the day.

I'm using the Hobbywing 150amp speedo, a Leopard 2000kv motor, 4s, with stock plastic spur in stock size and 25T pinion.

Tests (ie: thrashing it) have been successful so far with about a dozen runs. Nothing has failed mechanically or electrically and I'm getting about 10 mins of runtime from the old Demon packs (pictured, 5000mah, 30c)

I'm pleased with it and I hope you guys like it too (those of you who like trucks, obviously, 'cos most don't )

Looks cool, would be interested to see how that speedo is doing in a few months and the motor ? They're meant to be good but not heard long term reports on them.

Indeed. I myself will be interested in seeing how they last up. I think the diffs will go first though as I'm now hearing clicking noises. Though i've not looked at them for the best part of 6 years as that's pretty much how long It's been sat doing nowt.
