Default Help with Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF settings

Hi all

Returning to the sport for fun after a long break; last car was a Cat2K; recently purchased B44.2 from Ebay with electrics, plus sorted TX/RX, lipo charger, balance lead etc etc...seems more complicated than it used to but starting to understand!

All up and running fine, except for Speedo settings, which I'm keen to check/set for obvious reasons.

I've downloaded instructions from Speed Passion site; link to the speedo here:

http://www.speedpassion.net/en/produ...8802LPFb&c=ESC

And instructions from the download section:

http://www.speedpassion.net/uploadfi...pt14th2010.pdf

I've gone for the latest version of instructions as previous owner has put the latest software on speedo. (Exceptionally helpful bloke too, great to see the sport is still friendly)

I have the basic program card but it doesn't work; checked connections/polarity etc, just shows three lines across LED display. I understand it might not be compatible with basic card if it's got latest software? I know there's a better LCD program card but I don't have that (yet!) so was hoping to set some parameters manually.

And there's the problem; I've tried a million times, but whenever I hold the set button down and switch speedo on it goes into transmitter throttle calibration mode straight away.

If I continue to hold set button down, it beeps/flashes red about twelve times, then green flashes three times quickly, then stops any flashing and throttle calibration is inaccurate and it doesn't continue into settings mode??

I suspect I'm being a muppet but if anyone can explain to me how to get past this and into speedo settings I'd be very grateful.

You can't use the LED program card with the latest software, you will need to get the LCD program card. As far as I know the Hobbywing version is completely compatible and a lot cheaper.

Thanks David

Any chance of a link to suitable supplier for hobbywing version?

Anyone able to offer guidance on the manual procedure for settings?

First thing to do is update the software on it to the latest Speed Passion stuff. If you update with the Hobbywing software, you apparently can't go back, or sideways, to the SP stuff!
I have the same box, running on a GT2.0LPF.

As for manual programming, think someone was muttering about it not being possible in another thread on here.

(to clarify, i've not actually tried!)

Matt

Ace, thanks for that. Final newbie question; I've seen all the support docs etc for Speedpassion, but which piece of software do I need specifically for this unit?

Will the list of adjustable items be as listed on Hobbywing, or as listed on Speedpassion?

Many thanks

6th file down. It'll give you the software to update the LCD card (follow the instructions in the 9th file, think you have to hold a button down while you connect it to the USB, with the PC software running)
Then you can use it to connect your PC and try some different firmwares.

Took me about 20 minutes to get the whole thing sorted.

Thanks again Matt;

Final question (I think!) is that the software appears to be for Revention series; this will still work with GT2.0LPF?

My apologies.
Its the first link on THIS page

http://www.speedpassion.net/en/download.asp?page=2

(I have both Reventon and GT2.0LPF, hence the confusion!)
The reventon software isn't compatible!

Top man, thanks for that. I'm guessing there's unlikely to be any more updates for GT series if revention is now top of the line?

Latest instructions for GT LCD seem fairly old; bottom link here?

http://www.speedpassion.net/en/download.asp?page=4

I'm guessing (hoping) it's idiot proof?!

Looks like the right file.
But to be fair, once you've actually got the SP software on the LCD card, the rest is fairly self explanatory.
And there is a guide with the LCD telling you how to upgrade the software on that too.

Like i said, took me 20 minutes to go through the whole process.
