Default Is this the future of RC Timing...

Is this the future of RC Timing - looks stunning and no wires, plus members can get their hands on lap times in realtime.

Youtube video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lN89YrceUTI#t=61

Check out their website here http://www.dirtchampdesign.com/newsite/?page_id=26

The only thing that I feel they should have done is made it compatible with existing PTs, if they'd done that I think its a winner...

More like the past than the future, it's been around since 2010. http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40311

It's an infra red system, like iLaps but more expensive. The DCD system is also designed around practicing, sending your lap times to the laptop. The "users can get their lap times in realtime" bit only works if the laptop can upload the lap times to the website, where drivers can then access their lap times only on an iphone or ipad. You can't get individual lap times directly from the decoder. There is a token race program added on.

Good for practising with when on your own at the track, but if you are planning on running a race meeting then iLapRC is much more suitable.

I see... just saw it on the Durango website. We used to use iLaps but have moved across now to AMB.
