Default Work blocks websites?

For those of you who cannot access certain websites i have the answer for you.

all you do is go to the address below and enter the banned site address into the url box and hey presto you can access anything you want and it is alleged to be untraceable.

knowing how strict my work is I think i might have to pass...they have even smart filtered this site!!!!!!!!

one thing i heard for our place was the sniffing software reviews the website history and ban stuff from there...if you clear the history each time before you close it it cant do it....i admit this is probably completely kaka but what the heck

Depending on what your network admin is like if they see you using a proxy, they think you have somthing to hide!

We used to have software at work which monitored each IP and could see how much time spent where so clearing your history will not work, but gaining access early on a morning to the server and deleting your ip history from the file does hehe!!!

Network Packet sniffing is fun if you want to get sacked, you can if you know what your doing get passwords and logons

This has turned into wargames or something.

I have often in the past had trouble getting onto doughtyuk.net, no idea why. I ended up changing my proxy server in the browser settings and was able to get there fine. Seems to work alright now.

I once had an email from someone who couldnt get on my website- apparently some kid-friendly filter was working on their end to block my site.
I emailed the software company and had a go at them asking why my site was blocked in their list of evil websites.. I was a bit embarrased when he pointed out my meta tags (hidden keywords) on my homepage had all sorts of mad random words like "porn", oh yeah, I remember doing that! .

hahaha, your lucky google is getting smarter, and now searches the content to determine about the website, not just meta tags

lol so they band the proxy site

you could always try remote desktop!

I have my system setup so I can log in and use my home pc, can be slow at times but it does work, also depends if they have blocked the remote access port.

you could always work at work hehe says he who aint been to work since sept 19th!
