Hey guys,
I am currently building my RB6 and was wondering if anybody else has the same problems with the ali shock caps: the plastic ball that goes through the cap seems to be too small, it's all very sloppy. If you use the plastic caps like i have in FS2 SP the balls have to be pressed and there is no play at all. Did anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance! |

Hi, you need to use a washer either side of the ball and tighten the nut until all the slop has gone but it still moves freely.
This works really well but there are options available from Exotek in Delrin and Alloy if you are not keen on the standard fitting. clicky Cheers Kev |

Hey Kev, thanks for your advice, the plastic nut doesn't seem to do the job, i will try an Aluminium nut. I have used the washer as per manual, if all this won't work i will buy some delrin ones from you.

It will not affect handling, we run like that since its launch.
No wear as all the balls/shims/nut are plastic. I tried SB and old style BB with plastic tops and handling was the same. No worries. |

You are not the first one to ask this question,
All you do is nip up the plastic nut till it squashes the ball to fit nicely without binding!!! The plastic nut is good as it tends not to dig in and break the shock tower if you flip the car! ![]() |

Was slightly annoyed at the amount of play they had. Had to use metal nuts though, plastic ones wouldnt squash them enough. Just saved me $22 odd. |
