good nights racing

A brilliant nights racing last night. 5 min heats and finals and really relaxed racing. I think the new track is making racing quite even.
Bit gutted the timing system was interrupted during the "a" final but it happens.
There were some great battles throughout the field and a very good showing of 2wd.
Also some brilliant marshalling as well which is good to see, to me that is such an important part of racing, I was marshalling the first heat and they deserve as quick marshalling as the top heat in my opinion.

How did you get on Matt? Agree that you should marshall how you expect to be marshalled, would have stayed a bit longer but the little one wanted to go home.

It was great to see ya mate, I think callum would have been looking at a really high finish this week if he was there.

As for me managed to sneak 7th (and last) in the A after qualifying which was nice but mainly due to a non runner as camerons cat broke, but it was nice to finally make the A since the return to racing.
I had great races with loads of people inc derek and matt Preston (Who turns out to be a really quick racer, another returnee) to name but a few. I think I was upto 4th or even 3rd at some point but due to somone pulling the plug on the power to the laptop/timing loop only 10 laps were counted and I think from the beginning of the race or from the middle so it put me 5th, but those are the breaks.

I am tabling a motion (Nothing to do with the table cloth) that e invest in pen and paper and numbers on cars and old school it next week.

Also am starting to understand the car more, just really need to save the money up for some new front wheels and front foams. Intrestingly did not run addetive and the tyres were coming off the track sticky so must be alot of additive within the foam as the car would wheelie in a straight line but it did have less side bit but a nice drift action which actually worked for me. Even bossman pete said the car looked better after he told me off for accelerating on the wooden floor (Whoops, sorry).

Nice one Matt, you might want to back your slipper off slightly if it's popping wheelies.

Unfortunately the slipper is about as loose as the nut will allow. Reading up a few people have had problems. It's actually not too bad at the moment.
I may try letting the Speedo have number 6 on the throttle aggression settings as only on 3at the min.
Not used full power/punch with the 6.5 orca yet. Hahahahaha
The car handles best under throttle at the moment
