Depends which Exzes, as I wouldn't run a 3S that Brian has shown in an "X". Mmanual says specifically not to use 3S.

Leave it with me. I did find one that would fit - but I can't remember which one it was. I haven't bothered to get LiPo for mine, as it came with a 1500mAh NiMh pack (Jap spec is supplier with NiMh it would seem!), so i'm using that till I kill it/get bored of charging it a fair lot!

Edit - I think it was this one that I was going to order.....

http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/Manufa...m/NR99987.html

It's listed as an RX pack, but I can't think of any real reason why you wouldn't be able to use this one.

Sorry for going off topic guys, but as all here are using the Exzes X, a couple of times at the end of the day yesterday when I turned mine on the screen didn't come on, has anyone ever had that?

It's the coldest it's been, and it still binded each time, but no screen means I couldn't change the model or any settings, just worried I have a fault?

After a couple of attempts it did come on ok, and it's not done it before (it's a couple of mths old), just worried!?

Nope, mine hasn't evver done that.

Ross - yes, or I wouldn't have suggested it They nominally run from 7.2V.

I'm lost , i've got the Sanwa Exzes but not the X, its the one before. My buzzer comes on at around 9v or so, does the new one run on a lower voltage.

Cheers

Ross

I use the one previous to the X with an 11.1 LiPo

the X must be designed to operate at a lower voltage and therefore an 11.1 LiPo isn't recomended for the X version

What is the "X" version? something specific for GB?

I have exactly the probleme of wanting a LIpo for my Exzes Plus... from the box, the batery is an 8KR-1100AAU, a 9.6V 1100mah.

If I understand well, i can use 11.1v....??????

Thanks guys

I use the Exzes Plus version (with the 2.4Ghz module) and I use an LRP 11.1 LiPo and its great.

I can't remember the exact model, but its not specifically for the Exzes Plus radio and I did have to swap the +ve and -ve leads on the connecter to match the batteries that came with the radio... so be sure to check that before you plug anything in.

Generally speaking, radios designed for crystals (Exzes plus) use 8xAA (1.5V Alkaline) batteries - i.e 12V nominal.

However, radios designed for 2.4G (Exzes X) use lower voltage - in Sanwa case, I guess they work with 6x1.5 - although as mine was supplied with a rechargable pack, it is 6x1.2. 7.2V in my case, hence it will run on 7.4V lipo.

The initial question was for Exzes X radio. Hope that clarifies it.

Ok. Thanks guys... I'm in he same case than Doughty, with an Exzes plus with the sanwa module.... I will take care to use a good 11.1v Lipo with a good+ve and a good -ve!!

On the exzes X, is it an external module or is the 2.4 module is "include" (closed) in the radio??

cheers!
Philippe
