Default new 2.4 radio help

Possible need a new Radio but needed a guide.

Don't want to spend mega bucks, son currently has the spectrum Dx3c which I like does the Job, ive been looking at the range. I use sticks but used sons and didn't mind the wheels so im easy, wheels seems good enough.

Quite like that new Black spectrum 4 with the triangle Aerial makes a change from the normal 2.4 gig type poky 1, but just wanted a guide as to pro and cons really. I know racing cars we only need 2 channels so a 4 channel as the black one is, is overkill. I don't need any telemetry do I ? isn't that for petrol.

Id like to be able to at least race 3 cars from 1 transmitter ie Bind to many receivers.

Anything I need to look for ? or nice to haves. I saw the pro versions but that just looks to have the drop down wheel, are they actually that much better ?

what about other makes any pros an cons, or are they as much like motors and batteries in this game, more of the same differing qualities.

I did read somewhere that some say spekrum do seem to be average quality and that if you go for other makes you can tell the higher build materials etc, but I hazard a guess id be paying for that correct >

don't really have a budget but lets say 200 for the project

Rob

For 200 quid I'd be buying a sanwa or futaba wheel myself. Buy used if you dont mind it, I got mine for 100 quid and its brilliant (Futaba 3pk). Drop down wheel does feel really nice and natural to hold too.

I think you would get a futaba 4pk used for that money or less.

Neal has a spectrum and after using mine thought it felt miles better too. Feel free to try mine out.

Sanwa MT4 is a real nice piece of kit or you could get the Sanwa Gemini if you wanted to stay with sticks.

Mine is a futaba 3pk, you'll get 1 used for 80-100 quid. Its excellent.

The newer version is the futaba 4pk. Looks really nice, but basically same kit withought the 40meg ability and a bit lighter. £276 new best price I could find. You'd likely get a good used one for well within your budget.
