I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the difference in times between using foams against mini pins and if they really are a race changer or not??
Thanks |

Hi Niall
I held off switching to foams, but gave in after a while as I became increasingly uncompetitive. The other benefit of foams is that it should be quite a bit cheaper in the long run. Just need to make sure you factor in additive as this does cost a bit. I can't really comment on lap times. But in my opinion its certainly enough to warrant the change. Cheers Andy |

if I were you I would seriously consider running foams. not only are they cheaper in the long run but drastically improve performance, the car accelerates better and steers a lot quicker giving you the confidence to welly it. when I ran full pins on my vega I was doing 15.30s but when I ran foams on the back, the best I did was a 14.70, running a dubious lineoff a jump. with my b4.1 the best I did was a 14.90 with foams all around, not running the dubious line.

Big game changer Imho you would stuggle to make the A final now without them I gained nearly a sec and a half a lap running them over mini pins but they do need at least one meeting to bed them in they get better the older they get
