Exclamation Dualsky ESC not running from standstill!!! Help!!!

Thanks for all the help with my ESC running hot it was very much appreciated.

I have a new problem now though, my ESC won't run from stand still. If I pull the throttle while the car is running all seems to be ok, I can brake and then continue, as long as the wheels keep turning.

When I come to a complete stop or try to move off from stand still, the ESC green light flashes, the steering still works, but it won't pull away unless I poke it with my foot to rotate the wheels a little.

Is this a fault with the ESC or the motor (both are Dualsky? Anyone had this issue before and solved it?

That sounds like a typical sensor issue

Im not familar with those esc, but besides trying annother sensor cable and worst case trying other motors and esc to elimate other possible problems, I think its a send it back solution.

Unless you contact the couple of people on here that are known to fix esc's. Im not sure who they are but I read it here in this thread not so long ago

This was big on losi esc a while ago, the problem was in the esc so they bin jobs if you didn't only just purchase it.

Would anyone know if changing the back plate on the motor might help, as the sensor cable plugs into this part, or is it more likely to be the ESC that's knackered?

Your just going to have to try another motor/esc to eliminate the possibility's of whats wrong.
If you don't have another motor then you might be able to test on from someone at your local track

It looks like a sensor issue, happened to me once.

If a new sensor didn't solve the issue, then the sensor board on the esc is fried.
Should be covered by warranty.

Thanks everyone, I've dropped an email to SMD via their website, so will hopefully hear a reply from them on Monday.
