Default How's everyone finding their S2's

Hi all,

Looking ahead to indoor season and may get a 2wd to double up at Worksop meetings etc. Used to 4wd and remember people saying when the S2 cane out how it handled more like a 4wd than other 2wd's do. Is that still true? How's everyone finding the cars, what spares are needed etc?

Also, which B4 version is best to convert?

Finally, does it take Lipo?

I do think its more like a 4 wheel. Jumps amazing too unlike any other two wheel. Standard spares, arms and such B4 pieces easy to get. Not too sure that a lipo tray is avalible yet. Best buggy out its like haveing your own personal F-1 car.

JC has designed some trays for the S2 to become Lipo friendly.

Very much doubt it because i would imagine the cells are in the exact same position. Only the weight would be different right?

Kind of, it also changes the weight balance of the overall weight of the car. IIRC the car has 35%/65% front/rear weight balance. Reducing the weight in one area and not over the full length of the car will change the weight balance. It changes its CoG. Probably not by much but by some.

Yesterday at the Kampenhout GP the Atomic Carbon guys were running Li-Po powered cars, with about 120gr of lead underneath the packs. So CoG is lower this way, while the weight is more or less the same.

Any will work Factory Team has all the blue stuff (turnbuckles, servo mount. motor plate) , Team car ok too. You can use the rtr RS too most guys use the losi shocks from what Ive seen Ive never had trouble with AE shocks so I use them. If you use AE shocks the factory team car would be your best bet.

Hi there,

Considering the S2 has a Slim style Chassis, theres still plenty of room to neatly install all of the Electrics.

I did have a Std sized Servo installed in it, which fitted fine.......but I've just recently changed it for the newer Low Profile type.

As you can see, theres not much of a difference in space
