TORCH 2013 Summer Series Supported by Schumacher Racing

TORCH is pleased to announce the dates for our 2013 Summer Series supported by Schumacher Racing. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability or experience and in previous years we have had a great spread of drivers from new club members to National F1 drivers so no-one is too inexperienced or too good to race! Don’t forget TORCH have both a Mid South 2WD and 4WD Regional plus the EOS F2/Junior/Vets National this year so these meetings are a great opportunity to get some track time at TORCH whilst having a great days racing.

• Round 1 – 14th April
• Round 2 – 9th June
• Round 3 – 7th July
• Round 4 – 11th August
• Round 5 – 22nd September

We have avoided all Mid South Regional dates, weeks before TORCH Regionals when we will need to prepare the track, all S&H Summer series and GPs as we know many drivers race at both clubs and where possible the National dates although I know the first one clashes with the Kidderminster national. There are only so many weekends available.

Classes for both 2WD and 4WD and we will run a separate junior heat if sufficient numbers.

We aim to run 4 qualifiers (Round by round) plus 3 finals for all as we have in previous years.

Tyres – we are going to run with national tyre rules of Schumacher Mini-Spike (Original & Mk.2) or Ballistic Buggy Mini-Spike in any compound on rear axle. Front axle is free choice.

Best 3 from 5 rounds to count. In the event of a cancelled meeting due to bad weather it will be best 3 from 4 as we will struggle to reschedule in a busy summer calendar.

End of series trophies will be awarded to top 3 in both 2WD and 4WD plus top 3 juniors. Either prizes or trophies (TBC) to top 3 in each final at each meeting.

Members - Adult £8, Juniors (under 16) £4
Non-members - Adults £10, Juniors (under 16) £6
