Default 5.5T motor too much power?

Hi guys,

Im pretty much new to 1/10 2wd buggy racing but i have driven 1/8 nitro. Im thinking of buying a 5.5t motor for my 1/10 buggy do you think this motor would be too much power for 2wd??

Thanks for any help.

I ran a 6.5T for a while, (one day) burnout/wheelie/powerslide tastic..........

Running what is effectively a 9.5T (ish) now, virtually no boost either. Will either boost this one as much as i can or go to a faster motor once we move outside after easter.
If i change it'll probably be to a 7.5T, and i only really need the extra top end to keep up on the back straight! The rest of the track is fine with the motor i have and a little bit of boost!
