Hi, yeah I looked at these too. They are the older version although they do come with big bores. The B-max was never a £450 car in my opinion. If you want a b-max I would spend the extra cash and get the new version. It's got all the improvements on it.

Saying that, it's not a bad buy.

You're missing the important part here - thats End Of Line RC which is CML's clearance arm. They are off loading the last BMax FT kits.
Given that they aren't bringing in the FT II, this represents their final abandonment of the BMax line.

The reason they have all these kits is that they were way too expensive at the time. No one would ever spend £450 on the kit. You could get one from Japan way cheaper.

Maybe CML just needs some room for the new ones. When I visited their website the other day, I was greeted by a B-Max4 banner - it's been a while since this happened the last time! Another thing that makes me think is the fact that there is not a single B-Max4 spare part listed in the end of line online store.
There's a mid-motor buggy on the horizon, too; at a decent price, it might become a big seller in the UK.
Rumour has it that Amainhobbies is negotiating with Yokomo about distribution in the US. Let's hope that we'll see a worldwide resurrection of Team Yokomo by the next world championships at the latest.

The B-Max4II World Spec is availabe at a RRP of €399.- in Germany, and one store offers it for €344,89. I think their making room for the WN edition that includes the X-Shocks2 and the stiff chassis/topdeck. Mibosport in the Czech Republic offers shipping to the UK and offers the new kit for €439.-
Although these kits are way more expensive than AE and Durango and probably the new Xray, they are worth the extra money in my opinion. I don't care about aluminum and graphite as long I as an average driver am faster with a plastic tub.

Perhaps this gives some context for J-Concepts' decision to release a shell for the B-Max2? I thought it was an odd move given no-one appears to run the car in the US. Perhaps they know something we don't? I hope so!

I thought the same thing, a car that uses plastic and wood screws cannot be worth £450. They are now taking offers on them on eBay, I was going to make a cheeky offer of £100 or so but tbh on closer inspection I don't think I'd want to pay that. Seem's a far cry from the gorgeous mr4-bx.

The self-tapping screws are actually not that bad, and although the car doesn't look as nice as the carbon fibre beauties of old, it is very easy to drive and thus pretty fast and consistent on the track. I'd love to have some old-school Yokomos on my shelf, but for racing purposes I wouldn't want to give the B-Max4 away.

Tonisport currently offer the B-Max4II W for 250.- euros - not too bad...

So hard to resist now...

Anyway, can't fault tonisport, car came yesterday. I now have new kits of the yoke, cat sx3, b44.1 and dex410r.

Yes, the bx was a totally different car with alu and carbon all over:-)

I still drive the bx but it gets harder to find parts now...

I hope Yokomo will make a beltdriven car next time, think I skip the b-max4...

Although I'd love to see a new belt-drive 4WD, I really love the B-Max4's sealed drive train and superb handling characteristics. It'll be very hard to develop a new car that is really an improvement.

I really hope they don't go back to belts. I just don't think belts are the way to go on buggies. I wouldn't feel comfortable with it.

Surely that's why no manufacturer bothers. (Excluding Schumacher of course)

I'm looking to get one of these does anyone know the difference between this kit and the very latest kit? I know the latest kit comes with an additional more rigid chassis but are there any over differences?
