Default Snow. How much have you got

A good nights snow fall and still falling has left about 5-6" on my road here in North wales just off the A55. Dont know what the main roads are like but have not heard much traffic on the nearby main road which is usually ver busy from 7.30 -9.00am.
The snow plough came last night about 3am and has barricaded us all with a wall of snow about 12" deep even the nieghbours brand new range rover had to be dug out this morning. Our cars are staying put after I smashed my wheel and wishbone a few weeks back skidding on less snow that this.

No snow here in my bit of South Wales, biblical proportions of rain though so if it does get colder it could be interesting

We've got a couple of inches of slushy wet stuff in the midlands. Lots of standing water about. Snowing again now though.

Your lucky, a few years back in the same slushy conditions I broke a steering rack.
I would actually prefer proper snow than what we have now. Even winter tyres don't work great on slush.

Had a hell of a day in my curtain sided truck, blown from side to side going over the top on the M62 then into Huddersfield, plenty of snow on the untreated side roads, Bradford was the same, then into Keighley which wasn't to bad, then took the "over the top route" to Hebden bridge, geeeeeeez that was a bad move, snow drifts across the roads and wind you wouldn't fly a kite in.
Arms need a rest now after fighting the steering wheel all day.

Default Its getting worse

Another full night of snow and its still falling and even more on the way.
Now stranded. The plough has just been round but made things worse by making a huge barricade of snow and reducing the road to oneway. Gritters are too busy on main roads. I've never seen it this bad

27 hours of torrential rain, followed by snow for 9pm last night and still falling now - thankfully still got my winter tyres on

my parents in NE Wales had 16" on the driveway as of 9pm yesterday and its still snowing now - plus their boiler has failed and no engineer until Sunday 5pm
