Other than the obvious: that it barely fits, that finding a body that will clear the battery posts will be problematic, and that you're raising your COG because of the kick-ups on either side of the chassis........ there's really no point - because those that do want to keep their battery weight as far rearward as possible, or to make room on the chassis for their electronics, seem to make use of saddle packs.

End of the day - I suppose it comes down to how bad you want to (or need to) do it. Where there's a will, there's a way.

I run mine with Saddles across the chassis, by modifying the side pods, it does raise the cells 6mm off the chassis but i liked how it felt.

Also if i need to lower the CoG i have brass that can now go under the cells in the 6mm gap.

And the penguin rc shell for the 22/hobao/vega fits a treat.

Exclamation

The ftw shell fits this way and I did not want to but new cells. I have a 2nd hand 22 which has been modified and the ESC plate has been removed and replaced by a metal plate on the chassis with a low profile servo in its a tight fit but I would like to use my KO servo
