Default Losi 22T - poor turning circle. Is this normal?

Hi all,

Ran my 22t today for first time with schumacher yellow mini spikes on rear (half worn) and staggered on the front (new). It has the losi rear weight kit on rear, and brass insert in front.

The car is standard bar the above, and has a REALLY poor turning circle. I know they aren't as agile as what the buggy is, but this is ridiculous, as I'm just crawling round corners. Is there anything I can do?

A friend suggested running spikes on the front also, but I don't think this will be enough to solve my problem.

ta

Things to try
Do you have full lock left/ right ?
Take rear weight off
And most of the trucks I have seen racing at the club I go to are running mini pins on the front

I do seem to have full left and right. I seem to have slightly more left than right actually, but I think thats a seperate issue of centering the servo (did it in a rush).

I shall have a play about with the weight etc, and def' try spikes on the front. hopefully will sort it !

As you bolt the car in a rush it is possible you have put the yokes on the wrong way I did it and I was taking my time lol

Hey matey,

post up your full set up and it'll be easier to diagnose anything that stands out as being a probable cause... we don't even know what front tyres or servo you are running yet or which config it is in?

It will save us having to go through manual to find kit setup and there are options in kit that could have been fitted?

The trucks will drive/feel differently to a buggy but still should turn in well as with the other 22 platform cars.

You say you have brass front shim... but 22T has 30 deg kick up as standard so shouldn't have any shims

Your steering lock imbalance is common, you need to move the servo horn a tooth/spline towards centre of car if looking from above.. if you haven't got it centered then that won't help turn in in one direction!
