Default Another newbie Receiver Qu.

Hi All,

I have finally got the receiver fitted and wired up in my SV2.

Question is, I seem to remember reading on here somewhere that you don't need to fit an aerial tube through the body? (Used to do this in the 'ole' days............)
The receiver 'aerial' can be left inside the body?
Is that right and if so where should it be run?

BTW - The cougar is going to be raced.

Thanks for the help.

Only if it's a 2.4GHz radio, and even then I'd make sure that the antenna doesn't run near the motor, speedo or transponder.

If you're on 27/40MHz then the old school rules apply, antenna through the body, run it all the way out, away from the chassis (if carbon) etc!

Thanks for the reply.

Yep,it's a 2.4ghz set-up. Think I will play safe and go old school with an aerial!
