Default Batteries...which to get?!?

Bit of advice, please...

Im going to have to get a some sets of batteries ( i will build up myself ) as i have realised all the sets i have (bought a job lot when getting back into RC Racing) will not be legal for BRCA Nationals.. they will be fine for regionals and club racing which is fine, but need to get some new ones..ohh im also planning on doing Worksop this year 2008/2009..

Which ones should i get!!? theres quite a few to choose from on the BRCA site.. (im using a pro-trak charger)

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Nick

I have the Stormforce Racing cells (4500) they are very good Neil Oliver who runs stormforce is on hear quite often. The cells I have are the none team packs you dont need the team ones. You also get some red and black stickers to tell you - from + wich is a good touch. At just over £30 they are a bargain.

I run the Nosram stock spec cells. They are rated at 4100mah, but duration really isn't an issue for offroad. The voltages are insane at 1.28v per cell, far higher than the top IB cells last year. Good value too compared to most other mainstream brands.

the Fat Cobras are definitely the best cell around, but you can get the same voltages for less cash with the stock spec!! Unless you are planning some 10 minute finals!

Thank you all for your response

Ive been in touch with Neil.. so im ordering from him.. very reasonable price cant justify spending the extra on the Fat Cobras to be honest.. so i'll see how i get on with the Stormforce packs... as long as i look after them properly im sure they will be good

At least im BRCA legal now! Im guessing these cells will be fine for 2009 as well??

Cheers

Nick
