Did a rebuild with northy withies and 2 of the 4 shocks are leaking after 1 club meeting.
I have another set build with the standar red/orange O-rings without any problems? How can this be as with my associated shocks they are perfect? TIA |

Hi,
I'm talking about Losi Shocks. As you know they are very simple to rebuild/build. Never had a problem with the normal O-rings in the Losi shocks. As I said before, they are perfect in the asso shocks. Thanks |

I installed some new whities in Losi shocks at the weekend and they were perfect.
I had to do it because the cartridge kept blowing its top off, did you do it on a new cartridge? that could be the problem. |

Have you torn them when putting the shaft through?
Mine have been perfect in ae, losi and aero shocks, its all i use now. ![]() |

I used new cartridges so that can't be the problem.
I even put green slime on the shock shafts to make sure the o-rings aren't torn when putting them in? Maybe it's just bad luck. ![]() |

check the orings and put new whities in you can't be sure that they are torn without checking them yourself

I did the following and mine are perfect.
new cartridge use the standard spacer 2x new whities in there no slime or anything - dry cartridge put the shaft in with the non-threaded end after dipping that end in the oil you are going to use 30wt or 35wt or whatever done |

You could try one whitie and one 'reddy' that's what I used to do when schumacher used white o-rings and 2 leaked like buggery!
I guess the Nortech whities are a different thing than the Schumacher ones, but low friction = more chance of leaking, you can't really have low friction and low leakage when using the same material... (unless Nortech whities are made of a material not of this planet, which may be possible....) ![]()

On average people re-build thier shocks once a month.
For on-road carpet/asphalt it's much different, maybe once a year.
