Default Big-E signs up to stay at XFactory

ELLIS STAFFORD RE-SIGNS WITH X FACTORY

U.K. star Ellis Stafford has re-signed with X Factory through the 2009 season. Stafford, a two-time European 4WD Champion and two-time BRCA buggy Champion, TQed buggy and won both buggy and 4WD at the Ozwestry round of this year's U.K. Nationals as well as 4WD TQ at the recently-completed Talywain round. Ellis currently stands first in both the buggy and 4WD Championship, with a 6-point lead in buggy.

Ellis finished 2007 5th with his X – 6 in the BRCA buggy standings and 6th in 4WD with the X – 5 Squared. "I am so pleased with the progress we made last year calculating The New Math," said Stafford. "I am particularly happy with the attitude of the whole X Factory Team and their willingness to back me in working to try new things."

Stafford continued, "I also like the direction X Factory is taking. This Team is on the go, expanding and getting faster every day. With Brian Kinwald back full time, it seems like we start work on another idea every day. Chazz and the Team are all about racing to win, and nothing else. 2007 was the happiest R/C year for me in a long time, and I need to stay a part of this action!"

"Ellis is more than just a part of the action," said Chazz in announcing the signing. "This is a first for us – Ellis has signed for two years, not just one. That's a big indication of our faith in each other. Ellis' E-Speed line of parts will expand; I have to fight off all the ideas he has. One at a time, Ellis!!!"

"Ellis has great experience on U.K. and European tracks and brings a fountain of knowledge to our Team," said Brian Kinwald. "We're beginning to collaborate more and more on X Factory projects, and working with E is really cool. I'm glad E will be here for a long time."

X Factory engineer Paul Sinclair commented, "Working with The Big E has been wonderful this past year. I think he's taught me more than I've learned in school. We're really excited about the projects in the pipeline and Ellis is a major contributor. E-mails fly back and forth almost daily, as we modify each others' thinking and the concepts get faster before they ever hit the computer screen! Then we put them in Solids and they get even better."

Stafford will contest the full U.K National series plus the indoor season, and will be found club racing at different tracks in S.E. U.K. Ellis is always available in the pits: "Other than talking about my children, talking R/C with other racers is my favorite thing. Please come see me at any race. I love to show off the latest stuff and help you with yours."

Congratulations both to Ellis and X-Factory!

I look forward to seeing what new developments this partnership sends our way.
