do you think it possible to split up the 5 major northeast clubs and add bury southport to make two new regions without it affecting club turn out, please post on the pol and give reasons why or why not it will be a open poll and people can see who posted what,

i think we could do with another track or 2 in our regionals, as much as i like racing the regionals, its gets a bit repetitive doing the same 2 tracks, even i do love racing at southport

the problem isn't the "split" of clubs, it's the fact that there are only really two clubs in the Northwest, Bury and Southport.

There needs to be more clubs in the northwest, and to my mind the Northwest and Midwest regions need to look at their boundaries to maybe include Wrexham and Oswestry.....

Fully agree.

Don't stretch the boundaries though, we need to encourage a new club to open within the current Boundaries. Id be more keen for that than including Oswestry/Wrexham.

Wrexham outdoor track is a new venue and I think would be better suited to the NW region then MW. There are a lot of racers based around, wirral-chester kind of area. I know a lot of those guys run MW because its a bigger series, but if NW included Wrexham I think it would be a real boost to the series.

The new Wrexham track is permanent to??? That would make NW region 3 tracks all permanent and purpose built... to me that would make a really good series.

The problem with new clubs is actually getting people to race on a regular basis, as we are finding out at Jarrow, if your only getting enough people for 2 heats, there will eventually come a time when the club has to close.

What people need to do is support clubs that are there every week, then they will survive and be able to run regionals etc.

I don't want to stretch the boundaries too far either, hence only including Wrexham and Oswestry - both are within a reasonable drive, but I do accept Oswestry is pushing the boundaries a little. But these are only the wittering thoughts of me being bored.

I don't think the Wrexham track is built yet, but I know they are "on with it" - they have their own website too, but the address escapes me.
