i can never get enough steering on my b4, everyone else seems to have too much and resorts to cutting off spikes, it has a pretty much standard setup that everyone talks about, have heard rumours about different chassis' having different stiffness? any suggestions cheers andy

Have you got full lock on the wheels? What setup are you running shock wise mainly?

Could also be your servo saver. If it's wide open you'll have the turning circle of a large truck.
Check your end point adjustments too. |

Have you tried letting someone else run the car? Many times people have not enough steering because they try to go way to fast in the turns.

Sounds like to me a number of things:
1) You don't have the stiff servo saver spring in 2) You don't have enough steering lock 3) Your front shocks are leant over too much Check the first two, steering lock can cause massive sensation of understeer. I reduce mine on very high grip carpet indoor tracks slightly. It just takes the edge of the steering and stops it being twitchy. I would run the front shocks: middle on tower, and inner on front arms. This should give you much more steering. Also run the front link on the inside holes on both the car and front caster block.

Interesting. I've had the same problem on my b4 for ages, particularly indoors with mini pins, and tried everything with mixed success. It just tends to drift out and won't turn into the corner. Never thought of the servo saver spring.

Regularly checking the servo saver tension is important in keeping the handling consistent...
Replace the spring too with the HD one - cheap fix for peace of mind! |

i would check what the lads have said
also are you runnig bump steer washers? ive seen people runnig zero bumps steer have the ball stud catch on the A-arm. this stops the car having full lock. Also check your steering link, the large screws that connect the servo saver to the top deck if its to loose the lock car be forced back on power, also make sure its not to tight and straining the servo. also check you slipper isnt to tight and causing the front to lift to much onpower if thats all ok, try changing your rear end set up shorter rear link, lower camber link pick up and outside on the wishdone will alow the rear to losen up.

I'm going to lightly glue the servo saver up to begin with and see what difference it makes
