Default My shell for 2013?

Hi guys,

Recently I've been working on some ideas for a 2013 bodyshell. This year I drove my TRF201 with this bodyshell. It wasn't long before I started noticing how poorly visible my car was - not so much to myself, but mainly for other drivers and marshals. I decided not to change the wheels for this but just to focus on the shell for next year as that's cheaper (even more so because I already had a spare clear one).

I like black, so something with black is nearly inevitable. Also, I want a painted wing, but relatively simple (and in simple colours) because I wrecked quite a few this season

After some try-outs in Photoshop that didn't work for me, this popped up as a result:

I still have to do the view from the other side, but I think it gives a general idea of the design: Black nose, some bright green left side (fluor or lime green?), a white roof and right sidepod and red accents on the car.

I'll probably make several ideas before choosing one, but I was wondering what you think about this design? Would it be bright enough? Are the looks promising or really letting the shell down? Any advice or suggestions is very welcome (I've got a template now for the shell so visualizing all changes will be easy).

I would paint the wing in one colour and I would paint it from both sides. If you want it green you have to paint white first and it wouldn t look perfect with scratches. Best would be white or black. I would leave them clear or get tham glass blasted or just sand them. I would not recommend the white wing with green side. looks good in photoshop but not in reality.

For me it is too much black but thats up to you. I would make sure that there is some space green in front of the front window and give it a slight V shape.

If you are doing the drips with a brush be careful not to smear the drips. less is more if you dont want to end up with a sloppy bittydesign look.

black nose, florescent green left side, how about florescent orange right side/gear cover and brilliant white roof and red outlines, for the wing fluorescent green or orange both sides...but that's just me as i love florescent colours!

or how about something like this

Sorry for the late reply guys... I've kind of forgotten about this until like a week ago... Looking back on the shell I wasn't quite there yet for the looks, and I want my 2013 shell to be well and truly visible.

A few weeks back I drove a vintage race with a fluor orange shell and I quite liked the visibility of that... so going by that (and your mention on the fluor colours jake ) I decided to combine that with fluor green, white and a small patch of black:

I also took Moose's advice to do the wing in one colour (though I am not painting the gurneys to make the LMR wing look slightly less substantial) - I'm already working on the shell, there's no way back now The result will look different (shape of the splatter and consistency of the colour layers - and I can't seem to get the fluor colours to 'work' on screen) - I just hope to get the green and white paint tomorrow so my car is shiny for the EOS next weekend!

Edit: I think it turned out ok

At least it's more visible than the last one!
