Default interesting motor rotation issue

put a speed passion gt2 and speed passion motor in one of my cars tonight and have a fun little issue. if the sensor lead is plugged in the motor runs clockwise, not normal!! unplug the sensor lead and the motor runs anticlockwise, normal. have tried different sensor leads, same thing is happening.

have tried reversing tx channel and resetting speedo, no help
no provision for reversing found in the speedo settings
motor wires in correct order ie a-a, b-b, c-c
have checked all other throttle related tx settings
tried sensor leads on another car and they worked fine.

only other symptom is when sensor lead is plugged in, motor speed dips slightly at full throttle, which it doesnt do running sensorless.

What am i missing???? is it a dead sensor? only thing i havent tried is another motor and to be honest, cant be bothered, will run it sensorless like most of my other cars are , just interested as to what is going on!!

Although I run Orion electrics, the problem is highly likely to be the timing on the motor has moved outside its parameters. Make sure the motor end bell is on its standard timing and try again. I think that will cure your problem

What software are you running on the ESC? There is a "reverse rotation" software available for that ESC, perhaps it has been installed by mistake.

no idea what software it is, bought the motor and speed control secondhand, could easily have been installed by previous owner, have seen it running several times before i bought it, which was a while ago but no idea if he was using it sensored or sensorless. i suspect that is probably what it is. i dont have a programming lead so will just run it sensorless.
