Festive Special Meeting, 30th December

Batley Buggy Club will be hosting a special festive meeting at their Whitcliffe Mount Venue on 30th December. We hope this will be a fun meeting, and wish to run it slightly differently to a regular club meeting.

We hope to make the track as large and interesting as possible, so invite ACTIVE track builders from 09:15. There will be no general admission to racers until 10am. We need to be packed up and out of the hall for 18:00, so this should give everyone chance to get home in sensible time.

The format will be as follows:

3 rounds of qualifying followed by 3 leg finals for all.

Classes:

Vintage cars - the older the better I don't think there will be any strict "rules", but all entries must be in the spirit of the sport. (ie: we'd love to see your Hotshot or PB mini mustang go around, even if you have to use modern Lipo's because thats all you have )

Under 13's - Most youngsters run 2wd, but you wont be turned away if you only have 4wd

We also plan to run a 10 minute "Display" heat between heats and finals. This will be open to all and free to enter, but obviously we will have to limit numbers as the track is only so big Oh, I almost forgot to mention, to enter the display heat, your car will need to be TOWING A CARAVAN Get building now

Entry fee is £8 per class and £5 for the under 13's. Numbers will have to be limited as we have as mentioned above, limited time in the hall.

Entries can be made at this weekends club Meeting. I also hope to have an online booking system online as an alternative, with a paypal option. Please however give me a few days to arrange this as I am crazy busy at work just now.

Entries are coming in thick and fast now - pre-booking essential as we are limiting the number of entries to only 8 (maybe 9) heats - once I have worked out all the timings.

With 3 rounds and 3-leg finals for all + the caravan heat we do not want to have too many heats - would like it to be a relaxed meeting.
