Default What brushless motors are people running in vintage RC10s?

Hi All,

Hoping to put together a black tub stealth gearboxed Rc10 soon and looking to run it with modern electrics. Just wondering what turn brushless systems people are running in them? 10.5? 13.5?

Will be racing on a fairly large outdoor grass/dirt track versus other club racers using modern 2wd, inital thoughts are to try a 10.5. Esc will be a LRP Sphere Bullet, 65c 5300 lipos etc.

Cheers

SR

The stealth box is practically the same as the B4's - the ratio is different thats all. Only the slipper has improved and you can fit a B4 slipper on there if need be.

Anyway my RC10 and RC10T run 10.5t motors with timing boost - not to protect the transmission its just that that is what I use. I run the same in my 210.
I have however run the RC10T with a wide range of motors from an Ezrun 9t right up to an LRP X12 5.5t - the gearbox can take it all.

I use an 8.5 most of the time. A 5.5 is more fun but the resulting diff rebuilds aren't.
