Default CAT XLS revival - help please

Hi,
I am finally getting round to rebuilding my old CAT XLS from a bag of bits.
I used to race this around 25 years ago, then moved onto a ProCat.
I think the XLS is about 70% complete, some bits have gone astray or been used on my ProCat years ago.

I'm sure as I go through the build many bits will be required, but for now there are a few obvious bits I need without which I won't get very far, these are:
Rear trans housings T070 & T071
Front suspension brackets T056 & T057
Upper rear suspension mount (plastic bit) T079
Bumper & Wheels

If anyone can help, I would be very greatful.
I may also have some useful parts to sell / trade in my bag of bits.

Finally, which of the reproduction body shells and undertrays are the best in terms of quality and reproduction of original shape, fit and detail?

Many thanks in advance for anyone who can help,
Nigel

Hi Nigel I may be able to help with some parts.

Also, having tried all the repro shells from Kamtec/TBG and Penguin....also owning the Schumacher item I'd say that TBG is the best quality repro in my opinion!

Cheers, PM me your email address?

Dan

I'd second that...I've got a TBG repro and its nice and well-moulded.

If you do decide to buy from TBG, their shipping can be a bit although their repros are well-priced. So combine orders with them!

Thanks for the replies.
I have just sent a message to TBG asking for a sensible deal on postage for CAT XLS and Procat Bodies, trays and wings!

DanB4 thinks he can help out with most of the bits I need but not the XLS bumper, so still looking for one of those if anyone can help?

Yeah, black dish wheels from JC Racing are the dog's.

I use a TBG undertray and Kamtec shell.

So, a quick update on my progress...

DanB4 has been great and helped me out with a load of parts for my XLS rebuild, should be arriving any time. Thanks Dan.

I'm now OK for wheels as I've found my old ones from racing in the 80's.

I am still looking for a few bits...

I need one Upper rear suspension mount (plastic bit) part number T079
See here:
http://www.oople.com/rc/manuals/xls/...ges/xls10.html

I would also be interested if anyone has good condition XLS chassis and top deck and I also need some new T045 pivot balls (ball studs) also shown in the above link.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks.
