Default TLR 22 - Change from mid to rear motor?

Just a little question here, is there "quick" way of changing from mid to rear motor in the TLR 22? Or do i have to disassemble the whole rear end to do this?

If You have a complete spare rear motor gearbox and bulkhead etc built up ready to bolt on then you can change configuration fairly quickly.

If you just have a single kit then not really as you have to swap gears into another gearbox and suspension hardware over to rear motor... Plus cut the bodyshell to fit!

I found it easier to have 2 cars, at least you have plenty of spares if needed.

Think i almost have complete rear gearbox and bulkhead, that's why am wondering.

But am also think of just having two cars, one mid and one rear, which of course is the easiest.

Anyway, thanks for the answer =)

If you use one setup the majority of the time, perhaps it's worth considering buying a second car? This is first of all a good set of spares in meetings, and you can set up the second car in the different configuration - with a fitting setup to the shocks. I don't know how different the setups need to be on the 22 between rear and mid, but I can imagine that just swapping the gearbox isn't all you need to change on the car.

In the scenario I just described, a second hand car might do fine as a second car - but of course that all depends on your budget and how often you plan to switch between rear and mid

That's why I have two cars -
- one's a mid-motor carpet track car (and set-up), and the other's a rear-motor dusty/slippery track car (and set-up).
