Default Newbie Nitro to Brushless Conversion Advice

Hi All,

I'm just starting back in 1/10 rc after years away. I have that kit sorted but I still have most of my un-used 1/8 Truggy gear here.

I am seriously considering getting into the 1/8 side also but nitro just isn't for me.
I know I can get a conversion for my Serpent from RC Monster, but what do you peeps recommend for electrics?
The Tekin R8 stuff is good but pricey and the LIPO's are £140 each.....is that right?
Are there any alternative electrics out there?

My club finals are 20 mins long and this would be up against nitros.

Any advice/help much appreciated.

Cheers

Martin

There are cheaper Esc's out there like Xerun 150a which I use both in my truggy and buggy. As for lipos does you club require you to use Roar lipos ? If the club you race at does require to use Roar lipos they are expensive.

For a 20min final need to look at lipos with 6600mah plus and a low kv motor. Tekin products are good especially there motors, I just couldn't afford it at the time.
