Default Durango shocks K1 style

Has anyone tried this? Having the big bore springs on the small bore shocks?

Yep, I have tried it.

I ran them on my 410. Feels just the same as the small shocks.
But there is no fowling on the body at all.

And the springs feel more consistent.

I have also run them on my C4.1 again not a huge difference for me.

Running the same on all DEX410`s in the family.
Can`t say I feel any difference either, but atleast the color on the springs stay the same, black.

Thanks guys.

What were you using for spring retainers and preload rings?

Im using some home made collars.

Avid do a nice set of alloy ones. At first I used the standard big bore collars.
they just sit in front of the small collars, The only issue is it effectively makes you springs a little longer.

Again use the shock bottoms & ball ends off the big bores.

Thanks
I got this PMed to me (thanks Arn0) as well so I have now ordered the traxxas parts and will use the original BB retainers or the new exotek ones

LOL
Real happy I checked, the original TD BB stuff fits the SB shocks no problem
