FWIW, I'm running Buds Balls and using the standard circlip (installed the correct way round with proper circlip pliers). I use the balls loose in the thrust but still use the "grooved" plates.

I've just built mine the same as I used to do with the Schumacher Diff. Sand the diff rings both sides, kit circlip is ok if as mentioned you install it correctly and the right way up. I didn't have ceramic balls only kit but it will do for now. Feels really good. I tightened it right up then backed it off 90*.

I'm with these guys standered circlip is fine just put it in the right way. There's a rounded side and a flat side. I only use it a couple times then throw it out.
Sanding the diff rings is a must or buy them sanded, and I like B-fast diff balls.

I bought my durangos from the French importer on the Durango website. Their ceramic diff balls came with an upgraded c clip which so far has been fine. The original clip failed after 2 meetings.
