Default Dualsky ESC/Motor

Hi Guys,
Its not many times I have been knocked off my feet in RC as I have been around for too long.
Jamie at S-M-D sent me a Dualsky 850 ESC and a 7.5 motor to try as I sell them in my place of work (JE Models) and I wanted to know if they where any good.
I put it in my car for a club day on Sunday.
Matched it to my radio and didnt touch a thing.
I wasnt expecting anything really but the speed was up with the fastest with lots of punch.
Very smooth and no cogging at all.
I did about 10 minutes of practise and I took it off to check the temp and thought my thumb was numb as it was still stone cold.
The motor was warm but not hot but I was amazed that the ESC was COLD.
I went round the pits asking people to check it just in case it was me but no. It was stone COLD.

Just to say what a GREAT ESC this is and for the price it will be better than much more expensive ESC's.

Good work Dualsky and thanks Jamie for letting me try one.

Can't agree more, excellent pieces of kit and amazing value for money. Quite a few running at our club now and no one has a bad word to say about them.

You are right about the lack of heat too, neither of mine ever get more than mildly warm, so the efficiency must be amazing as heat is a by product of the equipment working hard.

I've got the 550 version, even cheaper, 7.5 motor limit. Once i bought the usb lead for setting it up, the speedo has been good.

i have run them since jamie got them, (reviewed one for rrci) so happy i flogged all my 2 s speedos and bought more. never had a problem and the internals look brilliant (got permission to open one for review) never had a problem with the motors, even in "Blinkey mode" ( zero timings) won the TC 17.5 class at BIWS

just one more bit of info, a hand held programing box is also due into SMD at any time!RRP £24.99
