Default Canon Cashback?

Hi all.

Perhaps an odd question, but can I ask anyone that has got a Canon camera recently during the cashback offer.... have they actually received their cashback?

The only reason I ask, a friend of mine got a Canon camera a couple of years back during a cashback offer and it seems he never got anything back. So I just thought I’d check to see what the actual score is.

Thanks!

I've never claimed anything back but I have heard of people getting it back but it normally does take 7-8months.

I always just ignore the cashback that they offer you on camera's/lenses as a lot of people calculate the total with subtracting the cashback but it takes so long to get it back you might as well not include it and if/when you get it consider it a bonus.

Well Canon's website says 42 days. 7-8 months sounds crazy, and surely not right? Better then not receiving it at all I suppose.

They do seem very slow at processing it sometimes. Trawling forums it seems quite a few people get them back pretty quickly but then some peoples takes an age.

Do some of the little trading units take it off the price of camera so you get the cash back off the camera but don't see it as "cash"?

Awesome, so the money does come then.

I was just worried after what my friend said. Thought it was odd as I like Canon and they certainly don't seem like a dishonest company....

thanks

Yes but don't forget that you must pick a canon product on the cashback list (there are some SLR, lens, and others stuff i forgot, but not every canon product are concerned...)
Then you must send to canon the copy of the invoice and the barcode on the original box.
And wait for the money
