Default DEX210 - what chassis ??

Just watched the awesome OOple Invernational vid (go watch it, its gooood) and I saw Adam was using the plastic chassis.

So, my question, what's best ? Is it worth buying the plastic one over the original ally one or does anyone have their own thoughts on it all ?

cheers

I think the plastic one is +8mm and will likely have more flex than the alloy kit chassis. Both will probably make the car easier to drive at the expensive of responsiveness. You will probably need to use the TD cab forward shell due to the extra length (but thats just a guess).

From what I have seen as well is that it is mainly the racers that run on dirt with RM3 or RM4 setups that really like the +8mm chassis. Not sure if it will do anything for the mid motor execept that a plastic one would have more flex and lighten the car alot.

the plastic +8mm is a vast improvment over the standard it is also better than an ally version 10mm (thanks for the loan james).

i had a bit of a disaster today with the plastic chassis i had a full head on with a losi 22 we were both flat out running 6.5 we hit each other so hard the battery back hard case cracked open and the end of the lipos were squashed it did break the chassis and the top brace but considering how hard they came together it wasnt surprising.

However the kick up didnt snap the 4 fixing screws that hold the bulkhead on were snapped out.

this chassis is excelent and extreamly tough

stu

best i order a new one
