From what I recall the cxii is a good esc from ko propo. They released several speedos in the cx series.

I'm sure the cyclone is an excellent choice though!

You may want to ask Bormac as he probably knows more.

Obviously it depends what setup you use or if you want to be era specific ( e.g. Lrp ICS in a pavidis '95)

Yeah the ICS series is great!

Either you can go vintage with scrc Sanyo ...or look for Voltz nimh saddle. You can find them on cml or eBay.

Lipos are not very straight forward to install. You need to check the dimensions and how the saddle posts go. You could alternative strap them down using battery tape. Moreover lipos may affect weight distribution so some thought may be required here. I would just go for an nimh setup.

Default Ko Propo CX-II

I have a couple of these old esc's and while they look nice I think you'll be dissappointed in their performance.

While the CX-I and CX-III have some very impressive numbers (in regards to amp draw ability) you'll find the CX-II is no where near as capable as these and of handling mod motors. Definately wouldn't run one with Lipo's either. maybe ok with a stock or 540 silver can motor in my opinion.

Novak's Cyclone esc's are far better than the CX-II.

It's not to say you shouldn't have a go at the CX-II, just get ready for the puff of smoke when all goes wrong- LOL!
