hehe, I think you found the thread on doughtyuk.net
![]() But yes, the mighty Chris Doughty is leaving team losi - what a loss! Chris doesn't do much racing outside of Nationals, but regardless he is still a great ambassador for them - or was! Good luck to Chris with his new to-be-announced sponsors! |

Looks good!
Idea: How about one of those short-arse futaba servo's, won't sit as proud and chance to straighten that steering link. |

they are too slow, and also it puts the concept out of peoples 'normal' equipment.
most of the weight of a servo is in the 'back' anyway. the steering link does not change angles, the servo arm and steering arm move in the same arc. |

Not sure if i just can't see it but how is the upper deck held? Or is there no top deck and the chassis is super stiff?
Edit: being dumb, didn't notice it was a tub lol. |

I thnk it looks sweet, I think a carbon tub is about the best way of making a chassis, I just feel sorry for the poor bod having to lay up each mould, one at a time, lol.
I am wondering.... if it has a smooth surface underside, some House of Kolor candy colour and then clearcoat would make it look sweeeeeeeeet.

Im sure you could follow a guide on how to paint a carbon car bonnet, it's very much doable, not sure on the durability of it though.

Thats what I am thinking Chris, Carbon Fibre, if it is sealed, you can paint it, and if you use Candy colours, the Weave still comes through.
Clearcoat is pretty durable. And I got somebody who could clearcoat it too....

Just been ready, if the Carbon has an Epoxy outer coat, that is impermiable and inert to most substances when hard, which allows you to be able to paint on it. HOK Candy can go on, this will allow the weave to still show through, but the clearcoat must be put on like the next coat of Kandy, then it has to be left for 12hours before the next paint, and sanded with wet 800grit paper.
