Can't help you with gearing but think a lot of them use 27t motors. Think it's that anyway, it's whatever they use at Broxtowe indoors

We all used brushed motors in our M03 and M05 cars with a 20t pinion. Usually a cheap HPI saturn 20turn but others use the HPI Firebolt 15turn. To be honest the saturn is more than enough with the largest pinion (20 tooth). The firebolt needs the 16 tooth pinion to match the acceleration of the saturn.

You would use a 21 tooth 0.6 mod pinion on your M06 and a motor in the range of 20,000 to 24,000 rpm. The saturn would be fine, as would a 3000-3300kv brushless setup. With the M06 being rwd you can go higher but your lap times won't be any better.

My saturn is on it's way out, soon to be replaced with a 3300kv brushless combo
