Default Looking for an ACE...................PB that is.

Out there in the land of Great Brittain there must be one or two of these classic buggies floating around. Surely, PB must have sold a few out that way and I am interested in finding one.

Ok, so if you have one or know of one that might be up for sale or trade I will gladly trade my NIB PB Maxima kit (rare in itself) for the right car.

Here's the car I'm looking for......

...and what I have up for a trade if interested

good to see that article about the ace, now what you and i would really like to find would be the mid engine prototype of the ace........... my ace was well used for a good three years, think i only ever saw another one at a race meeting though. i know of drivers who bought them to try but never kept them, its a tough one but there must be one around somewhere. nice maxima there!

One of your country men had an ACE sent to me a few months back so I could send it on to him - I think he bought it on ebay and the seller wouldn't post abroad. First time I've seen one in the flesh, very nice.

Thanks guys. I have seen pics of a mid engine ACE where they basicaly spun the rear gearbox assembly around but I am pretty sure it was a last ditch effort to try and get this model working out on the track. Still, even though i know it wasn't really an ace out on the track I would value one as part of my collection.
Cheers-Jason

Default MAXIMA NIB RARE!!!!

I am almost certain this is the only NIB Maxima out there amongst collectors the world over. I have not seen another Maxima (a few Mustangs though) but never a Maxima.

Surely it would make a good trade for someone out there.....

Sold my Ace to someone on here a couple of years back. Can't remember who it was.
It was a terrible car though - sure it looked awesome with all the shiny alloy but mine had several gearbox issues (which PB fixed FOC which was nice, but tended to suggest they knew about it all along) and I could never get it to handle properly. It got put in the loft when I got a Yokomo Yz870c and stayed there.
I sold it because I don't do shelfers, all my cars run and there was no way I could trust it to be reliable. It wasn't when it was new!

If I wanted to have the pick from all 3 of PB's off road buggies it would be the Maxima hands down. Still, I'm not looking for an efficient racer nor am I looking to race an ACE however I would like one to admire on the shelf next to my Mustang and Maxima.

Surely there is one out there that somebody doesn't love?

The ace rear diff used to melt, stopped that by installing an extra row of diff balls. Handled much better if you ran with maxima front suspension with kyosho optima hubs to stop it being too wide for thebox. Mine has been put backto mustang frontend but still has the kyosho hubs for strength
