Default Wt Vs Cst

A while back, I bought shock and diff oils, they were sold in weights (wt), now, somewhere along the line, there is this other grade, Cst. I know not what it stands for but I appear to have missed the bus with this.

So the big question for me is, how many Wts = one Cst or vice versa, because, tbh, buying a simple thing like shock/diff oil has recently got a little more confusing.

Thanks

CST is short for centistokes ... the true measurement unit.

Wt is a relative number and not even on a linear scale with most RC companies. To compare the two accurately you need the proper equipment but there are plenty of charts on the net to help you.

I use AE oil which is all in their own Wt scale but if I was starting from scratch I'd definitely go for Kyosho oil which not only is sold in true CST range but also seems to be spot on accurate to the label too. In fact I might well make that jump with the RB6 anyway.
