Default Durango DEX210

Right guys I need some advice from all you DEX210 drivers !

I have just picked up a second hand 210 and need to know what's the best upgrades to purchase first ? I have all the electrics from my cougar SV pro so good on that one..

The car is set up for mid motor at the moment and the car doesn't seem to come with any carbon fibre part.

So I need to know the usual parts that break on a Sunday and what to upgrade/replace first

Cheers
Stu

The very first upgrade you need for the 210 is ceramic diff and thrust balls!!

I didnt break anything, and i had mine 8 months.
But ive seen alot of Steering racks break ( so get the ally one)
I think the carbon parts are just as likely to break as plastic parts if landed on badly.
Id keep a front/rear shock tower set, maybe a set of wing mounts, and top deck in your pit box. If you break anything else im sure members have spares you can borrow/buy

Mines loaded with carbon and alloy mostly because I wanted it.

That said, I cracked my carbon tower on my first meeting with the car, ran a bit of CA glue over the crack and have been using it for 2-3 months since. Yesterday I looked at the crack, decided it looked a bit more serious so swapped to the plastic tower. The plastic tower lasted 2 heats. I finished the day with the carbon tower I was worried about, but looks no worse!
I'd say the carbon one is a) stronger, and b) repairable. But the plastic towers are very cheap so its your call.
Mine was an Atomic Carbon - I've ordered a Cream tower which is supposed to be better.

Other than that I've broken a front hub carrier, and seen a couple of others go there too so I'd suggest some of those. Oh, and a rear wishbone, but that was when I caught a peg someone had left in the track!

No point with the Buds diff kit - the ball diff is too much of a pain and the geared diff set is only £25 as it is. Get the geared diff, keep the ball diff as a spare.

And fit some Associated slipper pads, the Durango ones suck!

JE Spares - as Jony says 7.5% discount, and there is also a discount for Bury members too (but I suspect not both at the same time), or MB Models who seem to have the best Durango stock. I think Matt Coleman has some deal for Durango parts so speak to him. .
