Sure its not an imperial thread screw? 4-40?

I had a rogue one in my spares box and it knackered a thread in my old motor...

i have checked that it is not an imperial thread, i think it may they have used on over sized drill causing the problem. I have a novak 6.5 motor and the screw holes are perfect on that so i think i will send it back, i am curios if any body else has had a similar problem. On the orion website the can spare part is on back order ?

Nope, all my Orion kit has been faultless and not heard anybody else mention this.
Send it back via the shop you bought it, sure if there is a problem you will be looked after as Orion's (Kyosho UK) customer service is brilliant

The most likely problem is the length of your screws! check they go in far enough without touching the wind or bottoming out.

I've had a problem with a screw hole on 2 of my 4 motors and had to rotate the motor!
Plus know of a team driver that had the same issue!
Still superb kit and would not go back to SP!
