Sure its not an imperial thread screw? 4-40?
I had a rogue one in my spares box and it knackered a thread in my old motor... |

i have checked that it is not an imperial thread, i think it may they have used on over sized drill causing the problem. I have a novak 6.5 motor and the screw holes are perfect on that so i think i will send it back, i am curios if any body else has had a similar problem. On the orion website the can spare part is on back order ?

Nope, all my Orion kit has been faultless and not heard anybody else mention this.
Send it back via the shop you bought it, sure if there is a problem you will be looked after as Orion's (Kyosho UK) customer service is brilliant |

The most likely problem is the length of your screws! check they go in far enough without touching the wind or bottoming out.

I've had a problem with a screw hole on 2 of my 4 motors and had to rotate the motor!
Plus know of a team driver that had the same issue! Still superb kit and would not go back to SP!
