Default Gear diff for DEX210 too wide!

Anybody had the same issue?
When measuring the inside distance between bearing to bearing on the diff is 19.2 mm for the ball diff while for the gear diff it is 19.8 mm; result the gear diff is too wide and does not fit in the gearbox!
Any idea what to do? Leave the seals out (which is to me not done but who knows) or do I have a gear from the 1st generation.
If yes, where can I order the correct gear from?
Thanks for the help!
Anyway back to the ball diff for the moment.

Are you using any shims on the geared diff??

You dont need any shims between the outdrives and bearings if you are. This could be casuing the problem.

No, on the gear diff I did not use any shims.
(On the ball diff I used 2 copper shims each side.)

you probably have one of the first batch. those do not fit right.
second batch is OK, I have one from the second batch and fits fine, including the 2 copper shims from the balldiff

Yep first batch was not as it should have been. ask the place you got it from to get you the new one. Shouldn't be at any cost to you

Hi, if this was part of an early batch of gear diffs, get in touch with Durango. They sent us some replacement ones which we sent on to our customers to solve the issue.

Default What is the bearing seat dimension for the batch 1 and batch 2 diffs

Hi all, was this dimension issue ever bottomed out? Is the correct dimension for the gear diff 19,2mm (with shims) or 19,8mm (without)?

As it appears the diff i bought about 3 weeks ago *may* be one of the first batch. I mailed TD support last week with no luck (so far). And have mailed/PMed a couple of other sources, thus far, no response.

Managed to fry a motor in the meantime.

(S'ok, only cost me 40 dollars as a "cheap" experiment!)

Hi Matt, when i had an issue with parts i contacted supplier who then contacts TD for a replacement. Sorted within 24 hours with new part the following day.

Maybe a better way than contacting directly ?

Supplier's not being a huge amount of help!! (One man band who has just gone on holiday for 3 weeks!)

Just need to know if the 19.8mm is the "wide" diff or not, if it is, i'll switch back to the ball diff and order another gear, then sort the replacement for this out when he gets back!

If i can find stock anywhere.
