Some of this is still 'in theory' but:

There is a very fancy new gymnastics building just behind the track, and we are supposed to have access to the toilets there. Ladies and gents, very modern and clean.
Parking is possible on the area behind the track. I'd advise against parking in the main carpark. There should be a decent amount of room but STAY OFF THE FOOTBALL PITCHES.
You can pit along the fence all the way around the track, again keeping off the pitches. Please keep away from the Football clubs clubhouse and their containers though.
If there are any issues, especially with representatives of the Gymnastics or Football clubs please contact a club official at once.

As for timescales - not sure yet as we don't know how many are coming.

With the rain as bad as it is, I doubt it.

Minimal rain for Manchester means anything less than 6 inches in a day......

I know what you mean Si.

Weather forecast .com says
Saturday 3 mm, Sunday 1 mm.

But it's horrible right now!

Can the club’s committee make a decision on Saturday if the meeting is on or off.
If the track it is looking like the above picture tomorrow than I would imagine the meeting would be called off.
Many Thanks

good thing with this track is it drys very well, i know we've had alot of rain today, but as long as sunday isnt continuous rain from the off, i think we will be able to race on it.
last sunday was a good example, wet weather all week till sunday morning.few puddles at 11am sunday and it had completely dried up by 12oclock.

I'd like to second that, dont mind a bit of rain but don't want to get up in the early hours for a 2 hour drive down to find it canceled.

Default Saturday decision!

All,

Both myself and Roger have been down to the track today and as can be seen from Roger's earlier picture, the track itself is laden with water.

The area we intend to use for pitching is also not looking clever as at this time either.

I have looked at the weather forecast and that doesn't look too favourable, however we will make a decision as a club by no later than 5pm tomorrow evening (Saturday) as to whether we risk the event starting, notwithstanding the expected weather overnight Saturday. We will of course post on here and the North West forum once the decision is made.

The issue, as Darren has mentioned is not the track as that drys pretty quickly.
The problem is access. The area around the track is supposed to have hardcore laid down, but this has not happened yet. A few days of rain and the whole pitting area becomes a swamp. If you remember last years regional - the track had a few puddles but the pits were knee deep in mud. It will take more than a break in the clouds before the ground is solid again.

I'll drop by myself tomorrow and have a look - probs around 2/2.30.

Oh dear, seems there could only be 3 rounds of 2wd this year
I can see the only available date for re-schedule without clashing would be 15th July and even that the week before the Barrow 2wd
