Default KO Esprit 3 2.4Ghz range problem

I have recently bought a Ko Esprit 3 transmitter with 2.4Ghz and 40mhz modules.

I am having range problems that went the car goes around 20 metres away it just stops and if I walk towards it it come back to life. I checked the receiver wires and they had been cut short go got a new one of those and tried it again and it went a little further but not far enough if I am racing at a big track.

I have tested it back to back with the 40mhz module and I can get it about 35-40 metres away before I ran out of road.

Any ideas as this is doing my head in.

Sounds like a faulty Reciever or module or a broken wire buddy

Take it back and they should replace it

It is the same with both 2.4 receivers I have. Had the module in bits and can't see anything there. Only other thing to try it a new aerial on the module. Not sure if they can be changed or not though.

How do you replace the module aerial? Looks to be fairly well hard wired in. Where did you get a replacement from?

If the rx wires are short it will effect the range if it is shorter than 21 to 22 cm.How long is the new wire.

ko 2.4 recievers only have a very short wire so dont need to be any longer.

as for replacing module arial wire is quite easy to do,i would carefully take module apart and check the wire to make sure its not broke or come off the circuit board,if its intact and not snapped then it possibly a module problem,i replaced my 2.4 ko module with a new one and its been ok .
