I have the Sm1001 pro module and Sr3500 receiver. The way i bind is this:

1. Fit the bind plug into the "bind" port on the Rx, then power up until light flashes fast. This ensures its in bind mode ready.

2. Next hold the bind button on the transmitter module, and switch on. Keep holding the button until the light flashes fast on the transmitter module, then let go as soon as its flashing quickly.

3. Both the light on the receiver and transmitter module should go solid, if not try again. If it just wont bind give Horizon hobby UK's technical helpline a call as they are very good.

No, i mean the port for binding. If its an electric car it doesn't have a battery input, power is fed via ESC channel.

They are the same port. Both functions are on the same set of pins.

pin1 = -ve
pin2 = +ve
pin3 = signal

External Battery power input is done applying power input to pins 1 and 2. The receiver can be powered from any of the ports.

Bind is done by effectively grounding the signal pin, by looping between pin 1 and pin 3 with the loop plug.

An "electric car" receiver can be powered with an external battery pack, rather than from the ESC. It would be normal to cut the red +ve wire from the ESC input to the receiver when doing so.

i know how it works, my point being the b = battery s = sterring t = throttle

or maybe he would rather say the b is bind, s = servo t = transponder

No wishing to hijack the thread - the B port is I presume where the spektrum RX capacitor goes. What benefit does this bring?

Spectrum call it the Bind/Battery port.

The capacitor can plug in any unused port.
It ensures the dc power input is not disrupted by any ripple currents caused by power demand from esc/motor.

Thanks, just ignore Mark, he thinks hes brighter than he is

To make it easier, stick the bind plug into the B port. I couldn't care less whether it stands for Bind, Battery or Bananas, its the one that works for binding so to me it's the bind port.

Did you have the throttle at full brake when binding? i.e. failsafe position.
I forgot this before and same thing happened. Try binding again with throttle stick held back fully.

For a nitro car maybe, but if the OP's electric car speedo has reverse?...!

Glad the OP got the bind issue sorted.
