Default Motor problems

As the title suggests, I am having a little trouble with my brushless motor. When I turn the power on, the speedo picks up the motor, allows you to push the throttle but then nothing. If I spin the wheels of the buggy, when giving it a little throttle it turns the motor over, but as soon as you stop, it won't go again.

I must confess that I think I may have cooked it last week as after a 5 minute race the Speedo and motor were read hot, indeed, it did smell a little like burning had occurred

I am pretty sure it is not the speedo that is the problem, as that allows me to turn the servo still, and is turning on. Anyhow, the motor is now omitting a slight beeping noise when you turn it on. Any suggestions on how to solve this, or am I just going to have to buy a new motor?

Default Gas mark 10 = smelly electrics

Sorry to hear you may have cooked your esc / motor.

Deffo sounds like motor expired, I would borrow another motor to try on your esc to see if it still works, and be gentle with it especially if you have borrowed it !

Most ESC's 'should' go thermal i.e. if it gets too hot it will shut down to protect itself so the ESC survives even if the motor cooks.

When you do your gearing next time, gear down ( smaller pinion gear ) and check the motor temperature after a minute or two then at the end of 5 minutes use. It should really not be over 130 deg F at the end.
