A friend has just bought one of these, Hong Nor ULTRA LX-2 Ultimate RTR Buggy:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISA...m=251056035416

It's cheaper than the HPI, has the same (but bigger) engine, 3-shoe clutch and bigger (16mm) threaded alloy shocks.

It arrived yesterday and for the money I was well impressed. I like the Trophy as well (It's basically a re-badged HB Lightning RTR) and someone at my local track had an Ansmann Deuce which was also pretty good but I think HN have really taken value for money to another place entirely with this, I thought it would be good for you to know.

It depends what you want it for and what you want to achieve ?

If you just want to run it around the park I'd say either are perfectly okay for that. Parts are easy to get for both as they're well supported by a lot of shops.

However if you want to actually race this, maybe not at first but later down the line you need to get to your local track and see what others are using and ask advice from them.
